Cops: West Hempstead Spa Employees Offered Sex Acts for Money

Two charged with unauthorized practice and prostitution.

An undercover investigation by Nassau County Police led to the arrests of two unlicensed massage therapists at a West Hempstead spa who allegedly offered to perform sexual acts for money.

The Narcotics/Vice Bureau arrested Flushing residents Liru Xia, 43, and Qili Duan, 27, Wednesday at 4:40 p.m. in West Hempstead.

According to detectives, an undercover operation determined that Xia and Duan, while working at the Royal Day Spa, located at 300 Hempstead Turnpike practiced massage therapy without a license. The women also allegedly offered to engage in a sexual act for an undisclosed amount of money. They were taken into custody without incident.

Both women were charged with Unauthorized Practice and Prostitution. They will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
