Fire Prevention Open House Reminder, Girl Scouts at Street Fair

- Reminder: The West Hempstead Fire Department is holding a fire prevention open house on Sunday, October 20 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at 295 Hempstead Tpke. The event features fun, games, rides and food.
- The Malverne Merchants Association and Malverne Civic Association will host the annual Fall Festival and Classic Car Show this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Church Street and in the community parking lot. The event features a pet parade, costume contest, crafts and food, bake off, scavenger hunt, pumpkin patch and more!
- When you're at the Malverne fair this Sunday, make sure you visit the OLL Junior Troop 2179 Mags and Munchies Booth Sale! Girl Scouts in Malverne will be offering their Fall Product selection of candies, nuts and magazines to the Malverne community. Stay with Patch for more info. on the Girl Scouts.
- Students return to school Tuesday after having off Monday for Columbus Day. At Malverne High School, SAT Prep classes will be held at 3 p.m. and a PTSA meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
