Get Ready for the GroundHog

Malverne Mel will be returning to his favorite spot in the village - at the gazebo in Reese Park - to make his weather prediction on Feb. 2. Will it be an early spring or six more weeks of winter? Witness his forecast for yourself. The ceremony will kick off at 7am, featuring live music, KJOY radio, appearances from village officials and a special costumed groundhog provided by the event's host, the Malverne Civic Association. Free hot chocolate will be served. Meet Mel and fellow Malvernites at the gazebo and then take a stroll to the Historical Society's Restoration Home for more refreshments.
