About Us

The Dr. Barbarino Scholarship Fund Committee was formed in the September 2012 after the passing of Dr. Santo Barbarino, Lynbrook School’s Superintendent.  Dr. Barbarino was a pillar of the community and the Lynbrook School District.  Dr. Santo Barbarino affectionately known as Dr. B, influenced and inspired so many individuals throughout the course of his life. His sincerity, heartfelt compassion and commitment to his students represented only a glimpse of the wonderful traits Dr. Barbarino bestowed upon all of us. His memory holds a lasting impression on many. The Committee awards three scholarships each year to deserving “Owls of Excellence”.  They support the areas of passion we all knew Dr. B. held: a Student of the Arts, a Student Athlete and a Student of Promise.  For more information on how to donate and be part of this committee please visit www.drbfund.org

The second annual Golf Outing is scheduled for August 4, 2014 at the Inwood Country Club.  Please save the date and contact us via www.drbfund.org if you are interested in joining the committee.

Any proceeds from the breakfast and evening will be donated to the Lynbrook PTA Scholarship Fund due to the fact that we are holding the events on the Scholarship Homecoming Weekend.
