Breakfast With Santa

If your children can't wait for Santa to come on Christmas Eve, why not visit him at Lynbrook's Breakfast with Santa, being held today at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus (St. Mary's/Maris Stella Council No. 2228), at 78 Hempstead Avenue.

A very limited number of tickets are still available, so come bright and early to have a chance at visiting the big man.

Fire Truck Rides

Then, head over to the Earle Avenue parking lot beneath the Lynbrook railroad tracks to take a ride on a fire truck, courtesy of the Lynbrook Fire Department.

Rides are free, and are held from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Naomi Zeitlin Holiday Concert

The Lynbrook Public Library is hosting Naomi Zeitlin Holiday Concert today from 2-3:30 p.m.

Holiday songs, such as "Jingle Bells," "Winter Wonderland," White Christmas," "The Christmas Song," "Light One Candle" and "Chanukah oh Chanukah" will be performed. A variety of jazz, Broadway show tunes, blues, and international music will be mixed in, as well.

Where to Buy Your Christmas Tree

We'll have an article going up at 4 p.m. today detailing where in Lynbrook to purchase a Christmas tree, and how to take care of it through the holiday season.
