Dec 14: Car Fires, Caroling, Crime Reports and More

A look at the top stories for this Friday in Malverne, West Hempstead and Lynbrook.

Here are the top five headlines for Dec. 14.

  1. Car Fires: The West Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department responded to a car fire early Wednesday, and Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department were called to blaze that broke out inside a vehicle in Hempstead Lake State Park. Click here to see photos.
  2. Crime Reports: Coming up later today, see what crimes were reported in the village of Lynbrook and Nassau County's Fourth Precinct.
  3. School Board: Also, find out what happened at Wednesday's meeting of the Lynbrook Board of Education later today.
  4. Help MVAC Members: Two members of the Malverne Volunteer Ambulance Corps lost nearly everything they owned Monday when a fire ripped through their apartment while they were out on a call. Find out how you can help them later today.
  5. Christmas Caroling: Join the Malverne Civic Association tonight as they go caroling around the neighborhood. Meet them at the gazebo on Church Street at 7:30 p.m. to join in.
