Determined Trick-or-Treaters Hit the Streets Despite Sandy [Photos]

Costumed kids in Malverne, West Hempstead and Lynbrook refuse to let Sandy spoil their Halloween.

Off from school for a third straight day and finally able to leave their homes, many families in Malverne, Lynbrook and West Hempstead refused to let Hurricane Sandy spoil their favorite Halloween tradition.

They put up on their costumes and braved the post-Sandy conditions in their neighborhood Wednesday to go trick-or-treating.
