Halloween Havoc in Lynbrook

No, not that kind of havoc; community enjoys annual village event.

Before the doorbells began ringing on Sunday, the children that would later be trick or treating throughout Lynbrook were enjoying themselves at the village's annual  "Halloween Havoc" on Atlantic Avenue. The street was closed off for a few hours so that many could get the chance to take part in fun Halloween games and activities .

Children had the opportunity to take part in a spooky walk, and from there could go and enjoy a magic show. They also got the chance to burn off that excess energy on the blow-up obstacle courses at each end of the street. And of course it wouldn't have been a Halloween celebration without pumpkin decorating — many of the costumed attendees put their artistic talent to the test with some great designs. Cotton candy found its way into the hands of the children, adding a bit of color to even the darkest and scariest of outfits.

Hopefully the celebration didn't wear out the children too much, as they had a long day of getting candy ahead of them.
