Halls Pond Runneth Over [Photos]
Heavy rains cause West Hempstead pond to overflow, flood park and nearby streets.
Monday's heavy rainfall caused in West Hempstead to overflow, putting the surrounding park and streets under water.
The pedestrian walkways and park benches of the recently rennovated park became submerged by the afternoon and Hempstead Avenue, which runs alongside the east side of the pond, experienced heavy flooding.
