There is much history to be told about Lynbrook's Atlantic Avenue. So perhaps it's fitting that the village will once again hold the summer car shows, complete with vintage cars, in that area once again.
The first of the events, which will be held every Thursday at 6 p.m. during the summer, is tonight.
There's one tweak to the event this year, however. Instead of being held on Atlantic Avenue, the car show will take place in the parking lot behind the stores. But the bustling street will still be open to the public for residents to shop and dine during the car show.

The car shows are sponsored by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is also holding a Craft & Vendor Fair this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Astoria Federal Savings Bank.
