Lynbrook Resident Awarded NEFCU Scholarship

Jessica Wodicka will use $1,500 to fund graduate degree in childhood education.

Lynbrook resident Jessica Wodicka has been awarded a $1,500 “Making a Difference College Scholarship” to fund her continuing education, courtesy of NEFCU, a credit union serving Long Island for over 70 years.

NEFCU recognized graduate students from Long Island colleges and universities for their hard work and dedication.
 
"I had a very positive graduate school experience," said Wodicka, who is studying childhood education. "I have worked with great professors and colleagues at Molloy."

The winners of this scholarship will be provided an opportunity to participate on a NEFCU Graduate Advisory Committee, to share their perspectives and interact with NEFCU’s Board of Directors.
 
“We would like to recognize Jessica for the exemplary academic achievements she has shown during her graduate studies at Molloy College,” said Valerie Garguilo, Vice President of Marketing & Community Relations for NEFCU. “We believe Jessica will use her education to make a difference in the Long Island community and we are proud to help further her achievements.”
 
Ms. Wodicka adds, "I had a very positive graduate school experience. I have worked with great professors and colleagues at Molloy." Ms. Wodicka is going into the Child Education field.
