Lynbrook Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday
Village board pays a visit to Margaret Riva on her special day.
A local resident recently achieved the ultimate feat of longevity - living to 100 years of age.
On Monday April 2, Margaret Riva watched on television while Mayor William Hendrick and the Board of Trustees celebrated her 100th birthday as a banner was held up and they sang happy birthday. The group visited Riva on Thursday at the in Lynbrook to present her with a special citation.

Riva is now one of about 70,000 centenarians in the United States, according to the 2010 Census Bureau.
