Mattituck Strawberry Festival Seeks to Sweeten Up Your Weekend Plans

The Mattituck Lions Club is holding its 60th annual Strawberry Festival this weekend.

The festival, which kicked off on Thursday, runs through Sunday. North Fork’s largest fundraiser will go on, rain or shine, and will offer over 25 midway games and rides, live music, a raffle drawing, and of course strawberries in every iteration imaginable. Strawberry shortcake, strawberry pie, strawberry daiquiris and chocolate-dipped strawberries will be sold, along with an international food selection and 120 arts and crafts vendors.

In addition, a Strawberry Queen will be crowned, selected from a panel of judges for exceptional poise, academic success and a commitment to community service. There will be a fireworks show on Friday and Saturday nights.

Pets, alcohol and backpacks are not allowed.
