National Wholesale Liquidators to Host Thanksgiving Food Drive

Customers who donate a bag of food will receive a $5 coupon; food drive runs until Nov. 15.

National Wholesale Liquidators of West Hempstead recently announced that it has partnered with The Interfaith Nutrition Network to hold a Thanksgiving food drive, which will run from Nov. 8 through Nov. 15.

"Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and give thanks and this year we want to do our part in helping to feed the hungry”, said Scott Rosen, CEO.  “Hosting a food drive is a great way to get our customers, employees and suppliers involved in helping to make a difference. 

At the conclusion of the food drive, National Wholesale will also donate 100 cases of water, Rosen said.

Food bins will be available at the entrance area to the store, located at 111 Hempstead Tpke. The INN is asking for non-perishable foods like canned yams, cranberry sauce, gravy soup, vegetables (corn, peas, string beans) gravy, boxed macaroni and cheese, packaged mashed potatoes, and stuffing.   

For every bag of food a customer donates they will receive a $5 coupon the Customer Service Department. Simply walk over to the customer service area, show your donated items, collect your coupon and then place your items in the bin.

 “We greatly appreciate the outpouring of support from the customers, employees and suppliers of National Wholesale Liquidators,” said Cynthia Sucich, Director of Communications at The INN.  “The food they will collect for Thanksgiving will make a world of difference in the lives of over 500 families who utilize our services every day.”
