Residents 'Swim Across America' at Greis Park

Dozens of residents came down to the Lynbrook to support cancer research.

This past Saturday the Lynbrook Pool at hosted a "Swim Across America" event in order to help raise funds to find a cure for cancer.

All proceeds go to the beneficiaries of the "Swim Across America" program. Since its inception in 2001, the Nassau-Suffolk Chapter of Swim Across America has donated more than $3 million to cancer research, prevention and treatment.

Last year the Lynbrook Pool event raised almost $10,000.
