@ Bob West, you seem reasonably informed, yet you reach out to Mr. Hamburger. We've presented many facts associated with the true reality of climate science. The only retort has been pretty much it just is, and everyone knows it is warming and it is man kinds fault. Although the lib media seems to be more than willing to tow the democrat party line, this is not about politics, it should be about science, but as you know there are many making a killing off of the tax payer from this scam. Why don't we start that blog, and start sharing facts and not demagoguery? We've shared some facts, why don't you share yours? BTW, I started this when I said hopefully those always looking at anecdotal evidence and proclaiming its global warming, could at least be silenced to not look at weather events and proclaim victory. What say you? Hamburger, did you get fries with your burger today?
bob young February 05, 2014 at 08:28 PM
@BOb West, please don't start with the nonsense that 97% of climate scientists, blah blah blah.
bob young February 05, 2014 at 08:54 PM
When children say stupid things, sometimes you need to ignore them.
Bob West February 05, 2014 at 09:16 PM
>@BOb West, please don't start with the nonsense that 97% of >climate scientists, blah blah blah ..... Did I write anything remotely like that? Since you're now writing gibberish, I guess your ego just demands that you have "the last word." I should have realized that before trying to end this conversation which is taking place and in the wrong format, no references at all. Assuming that you have read scientific journals and not just Patch, you know that comments like your ".... Additionally, it is widely known that..." shows a total disregard for attempting any scientific analysis. (February 4, 2014 at 02:46 pm) If I wrote "it is widely known that people from Port Washington just love to hear themselves talk" you certainly wouldn't accept that. But it's ok to use that kind of "proof" for *your* points? You are welcome to have the last word in this post. Go right ahead. I look forward to your armchair psychoanalysis of this last comment. Hope you folks have a good time writing back and forth to each other. As Hamburger said, "See ya!"
bob young February 05, 2014 at 09:24 PM
I stand corrected. Bob West you are as uninformed as Hamburger. BTW, I would never say anything as childish as "see ya."
Bob West February 05, 2014 at 10:04 PM
Am I uninformed because I said your use of proof like ".... Additionally, it is widely known that..." is nothing but pseudoscience? Please correct me. I'm glad that your analysis of me is just "childish." Shall we talk about more personal comments you make like... "bob young February 05, 2014 at 08:54 PM When children say stupid things, sometimes you need to ignore them. " I read what you write, including the links you have provided. Unlike you, I don't pretend to know everything, and that's why I haven't "made up" any "facts." Still waiting for you to "stand corrected" about your comment directed at me "@BOb West, please don't start with the nonsense that 97% of climate scientists, blah blah blah." You obviously know a lot about climate change, but you're a really lousy listener (ie, not responding to questions or others' points) and an even worse scientist (using name-calling rather than responding, as you complained about hamburger doing) and a really terrible psychoanalyst. So, are you ready to stick to your topic and educate us with a blog? Or shall we further look at the success of your other contributions like "When children say stupid things, sometimes you need to ignore them." Do you really want to go there? I really don't, and don't think I want to try your kind of analysis in terms of the way children should be ignored. Feel free to come back with your next analysis of my erroneous thought-crime. I know you're not going to answer any of my questions.
bob young February 05, 2014 at 10:15 PM
Bob West, so you concur that Hamburger acts childishly. BTW at least you know who I am. Who are you?
Bob West February 05, 2014 at 10:55 PM
Who am I? I'm somebody who is still waiting for you to answer even ONE of the questions I've asked above. Like me, you hate politicians, but you sure are good at twisting words. I did not "concur" with any of your "childish" shots at other posters. As I said, you're not a very good listener/reader because what I wrote was "using name-calling rather than responding, as you complained about hamburger doing." Or as my first impression was, you're just really good at twisting words. You write in Newspeak which changes from one post to the next. Feel free to continue to continue to call anyone who does not accept your every word guilty of "thoughtcrime." I have no idea why you need to make this post a series of personal compliments and clashes rather than just letting it end. I have seen that you know a lot about an area that is important, and that I would like to learn more about. This is just not the place, with no references or peer review, unless you consider "christie" a scientific peer. Since it's obvious that you are too "full of yourself" to answer any of my questions and criticisms above, after numberous requests, one last time, I'll say "see ya." http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/see+ya
bob young February 05, 2014 at 11:03 PM
You've worn me out. BTW, why do you hate Christie? Because she doesn't agree with your belief in anthropogenic climate change? Also, why do you hate people from Port Washington? Please articulate the questions you would like answers to.
Bob West February 05, 2014 at 11:59 PM
Mr young- If you keep twisting words, we can keep this going forever. BTW, what web folks call this is a "flame war." It's really discouraged, and I wish you would drop it. Questions: When did I say anything even remotely "hateful" about Christie? Honestly, I guess I missed her post refuting anthropogenic climate change, though you saw that someplace, huh? When did I say anything "hateful" about people from Port Washington? These are the kind of questions you never answer, though your ego makes you keep posting twisted distorted responses. I assume you'll continue to take a single word or name out of context to use as "bait" to get a response, to get attention. Do you think that Patch readers won't see all the questions you've ignored above, and how you insist on making this a personal chain letter of insulting remarks? I guess I'll use your psychologist tools and ask if you find this cathartic for some reason? Is there some hidden self-loathing that you're trying to soothe by belittling others? It doesn't seem to be working. It's been many posts since you did anything but insinuate digs about people. So, like the other questions I've asked that you are unable to read, please cut and paste the posts you said I made re: "why do you hate Christie? ... Also, why do you hate people from Port Washington?" I wish you would share your knowledge rather than your bile. But if you keep distorting my posts, I'll be glad to resume this in the future. I'm eager to hear more about your advice in parenting. I hope you will resist your urge to distort another post, and end this flame war. (re: bile- I refer to definition #2 at http://www.thefreedictionary.com/bile )
Bob West February 06, 2014 at 12:07 AM
Mr young- This fabricated post "@BOb West, please don't start with the nonsense that 97% of climate scientists, blah blah blah." ...is one I forgot to ask about a second time, as you asked me to "articulate." Please cut and paste any comment I ever posted that was even remotely like that. Thanks.

You folks are really arguing about the weather?
christie nicolle February 06, 2014 at 10:28 AM
excuse me Mr. West - I am bob young's "political peer" + newly anointed science student - he's enlightened me. And thanks to Mr. Young, looks like Hambugger didn't get fries with his lunch - he got fried!
bob young February 06, 2014 at 10:34 AM
Good one Christie.
Charlie Cheswick February 06, 2014 at 11:34 AM
Christie, have you watched the 'Mitt' doc on Netflix yet? It was done very well, you really feel for the guy. I imagine you curled up in a ball, sobbing at the end though, no?
bob young February 06, 2014 at 11:50 AM
Charlie, are we changing the topic. Mitt would have been a great president, unfortunately the proven disaster, unqualified, incompetent miscreant somehow managed to be re-elected.
christie nicolle February 06, 2014 at 11:56 AM
well Cheswick, you knew I campaigned for Mitt Romney + still have not recovered - but Nobody could have beaten an incumbent President - especially a 'novelty act' like Obama - who proved to be nothing but a synthetic invention of the Left. God help us.
Charlie Cheswick February 06, 2014 at 12:14 PM
Bob, not even sure what this article is about; saw christie's name in the overall comment section and wanted to ask her if she saw the Mitt doc. Sincere, honest question here: Do either of you REALLY think Obama is the Antichrist? Seriously.
christie nicolle February 06, 2014 at 12:24 PM
Memo: bob young - just read your Christmas light display tribute to your late daughter Marie - I'm so sorry for your loss! I lost my Pop last year + hope you read "Hello From Heaven" - it's research done on 350 True after-death experiences... I myself, actually heard his voice 5 days after his passing + 40 days later my Pop delivered a message to a mutual friend, while awake, to tell me that he's happy + for me to stop worrying! You are certain due to your faith in our Lord, to have or already had some communique with Marie.
bob young February 06, 2014 at 01:13 PM
Charlie, seriously anti-Christ? He isn't convincing at all. He is just a run of the mill incompetent, unaccomplished Marxist, who was elected because of his skin color. Isnt that obvious?
bob young February 06, 2014 at 01:15 PM
Christie, thanks for your kind words. My deceased grandfather came to me the day after my daughter died, and told me not to be upset and everything was "alright." Since then my daughter has been in my dreams frequently.
Charlie Cheswick February 06, 2014 at 02:28 PM
Your climate student Christie here has claimed multiple times that Obama is the Antichrist (seriously). Every time I press her to see if she's just being hyperbolic or actually believes it, she never answers.
bob young February 06, 2014 at 02:30 PM
Come on Charlie, give it up, and stop trying to be provocative. It's clear Obama is anti-American and incompetent, and a very devout Marxist.
christie nicolle February 06, 2014 at 05:01 PM
guess I'm being hyperbolic... but Obama's certainly paving the way for the Antichrist - Today's news is Obama lied about how poor he was before finding his psychotic Rev. Wright -(who would spend 20 years with that nut?) we all know Obama had a ritzy childhood + since becoming Commander + Thief, refuses to stand on a platform with a cross on it.
christie nicolle February 06, 2014 at 05:13 PM
+ thanks bob young for your after-death story! How awesome to see your grandpa - did you see him in apparition while awake or asleep? That book I mentioned is a must read after losing a loved one; it taught me be on alert for their 'signs' - the departed have it both ways once in heaven - they're still a part of our lives here on earth while basking in the Light with Jesus... atheists are missing out on these beautiful transcendental teachings - they are essential to our being. That's why Leftists are miserable.
Charlie Cheswick February 06, 2014 at 05:38 PM
So Christie claims Obama is paving the way for the antichrist and won't stand at a platform with a cross on it (link please), and I'm the one being provocative?! Classic.
Charlie Cheswick February 06, 2014 at 05:47 PM
I'm just glad we're not living in the times of the antichrist, whew! In all seriousness, I really did jump in here to see if Christie has seen the Mitt doc, and to recommend it if she or anyone else hasn't. That second debate really hurt him, and you can see the whole campaign take a different tone after that. The access is really amazing, hard to watch at times.
bob young February 06, 2014 at 05:50 PM
Obama sure is evil. Never trust a druggie
Charlie Cheswick February 06, 2014 at 07:23 PM
...(crickets chirping)...
bob young February 06, 2014 at 08:18 PM
I haven't seen the Mitt Romney documentary, but I hear it showed a man who should have been our president. Too bad the real Romney wasn't more apparent during the campaign and debates. America had the chance to put a truly competent and good man in office, and we blew.
