West Hempstead celebrated the openings of three new businesses on Hempstead Turnpike Saturday at ribbon cuttings for Hats Off Restaurant, KW Kitchens and Sam's Caribbean Marketplace.

The West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce and Nassau County Legis. Vincent Muscarella and NYS Assemblyman Ed Ra stopped at each business to officially welcome them to the neighborhood with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. They also enjoyed the grand-opening festivities and Caribbean fare at Sam's, toured KW's beautiful showroom and tasted Peruvian food at Hats Off.
