#3 Tree Planted in Memory of Student Who Died in Tragic Accident A tree planting ceremony was held on Oct. 17 to celebrate the memory of Alexander Huertas, a student at the Davison Avenue Intermediate School who tragically passed away over the summer. 

#2 Man Arrested for Assault at Lynbrook Hotel - Police said that a man was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal contempt, aggravated family offense and assault for an incident that occurred outside room 120 of the Capri Motor Inn.

#1 Giovanni Cipriano Dies at 14 -  Giovanni Cipriano, a 14-year-old student at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School and formerly at Lawrence Public Schools, died Friday. On Wednesday, family and friends mourned his loss at Our Lady of Peace Church in Lynbrook.
