#3 Winter Storm Dumps More Than 7 Inches of Snow - The first winter storm of 2014 hit Malverne, West Hempstead and Lynbrook with a vengeance, dropping at least seven inches of snow in town.  

#2 Police: Woman Pushed Cop Down Stairs of East Rockaway Home A Levittown woman was arrested and charged with assault after police said she pushed an officer down the stairs of a home in East Rockaway on Sunday.

#1 Police: 3 Cars Stolen While Warming Up in West Hempstead  - Three cars which were left running and unintended to were stolen in West Hempstead Thursday morning between 5:15 a.m. and 6:44 a.m., according to police. 

Honorable Mention: Police Search for East Rockaway Assault Suspects – Police continue to look for the two men who got in a fight with a 23-year-old victim at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday outside of Mr. Beery's Bar in East Rockaway.
