#3 Hall’s Pond Under Construction, Again – The pond will be getting a facelift, as the Nassau County Department of Public Works said that there are plans to install a playground after summer.

#2 West Hempstead Boy’s Quest Helps Clean Hall’s Pond – Connor Last, 9, of West Hempstead, was recently recognized with a citation from Ed Mangano at Hall’s Pond for his efforts to jumpstart a clean-up project at the pond.    

#1 Hempstead Lake Body ID'd as Missing Homeless Woman - The body found floating by a fisherman Thursday evening at Hempstead Lake State Park has been identified as a homeless woman who went missing in the same area on Father's Day, according to Nassau County Police.
