#2 Report: Lynbrook 7-Eleven Franchisee Took ‘Big Gulp’ of Profits - A franchisee of five Nassau County-based 7-Eleven stores is being sued for upwards of $1 million after the company alleged that he funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash from the South Shore locations, including one location in Lynbrook.

#1 WH Family Loses Dog in Early Morning Fire -  A West Hempstead family escaped serious injury early Thursday morning after a raging fire broke out in the basement of their home on New York Avenue, but their dog unfortunately was lost in the fire.
