- Nassau County Police issued a Silver Alert this past week for a missing Lakeview man, and he was found shortly after.

#2 Residents Voice Opposition to Western Beef Sign -  A number of West Hempstead residents attended Wednesday’s board of zoning appeals hearing to state their opposition to an "ugly" orange Western Beef sign at 103-129 Woodfield Road.

#1 West Hempstead Man Killed in Car Crash - Police said Michele Guglielmi, 59, of West Hempstead, was operating a 1998 Volvo eastbound on Stewart Avenue when he crossed into the westbound lanes striking a tree on the north side of the road, east of Kildare Road. He was pronounced deceased at 10:23 p.m.
