West Hempstead Kids Party with Santa and Friends [Photos]

Community Support Association hosts annual Children's Holiday Party.

West Hempstead kids spent their Sunday afternoon playing games, decorating cookies, 'clowning' around and visiting with Santa inside West Hempstead Middle School.

The festivities were all part of the West Hempstead Community Support Association's annual Children's Holiday Party. The free event featured carnival games, a professional juggler -- who had a major growth spurt since last year --crafts, facepainting, a DJ and clowns. Kids also could decorate cookies, donated by Riesterer's Bakery.

The highlight of the day was a special visit from Santa Claus, who was escorted into the party by members of the Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department. Santa spent time with each child, taking photos and learning what was on their Christmas wish list.

Another wonderful event sponsored by the West Hempstead Community Support & Civic Association with help from the Rotary Club of West Hempstead and Dr. Ray Ann Havasy of CSTL at Tanglewood. Very nice of Riesterer's Bakery to donate the cookies that the children decorated!
