Come witness the "Prognosticator of Prognosticators," Malverne Mel give his weather prediction for this year at the 15th annual Groundhog Day celebration at the gazebo located in Reese Park. Will Mel see his shadow, meaning a prolonged winter, or will spring come early? The event will include live music, village officials, local media and photo opportunities with a costumed groundhog. T-shirts will also be on sale and free hot chocolate will be served. The event is sponsored by the Malverne Civic Association.
All are invited back to the Malverne Historical Society's Restoration House - located just down the block - for refreshments after the ceremony.
