Lynbrook Native's Group The Deltones Eliminated From 'The Sing Off'

Lynbrook native Andrea O'Neill and her a capella group the Deltones were eliminated Monday night from the NBC show "The Sing Off."

The group performed the 1989 hit “Listen to Your Heart” by Roxette, but did not impress the judges enough to move on. They finished the show performing the hit song “Goodbye to You” by Michelle Branch. Branch commented on her Facebook page after the show: "Awe, good job Deltones. Sorry Goodbye To You was your swan song!"

Dozens of fans showed their support after they were eliminated, flooding the Deltones Facebook page with kind words for the group.

"Being sent home doesn't make you all any less awesome," said fan Alexandra Sparco.

, the Deltones performed "Edge of Glory" by Lady GaGa and "You Can't Hurry Love," and received positive reviews from the judges. On Oct. 2, the group performed the national anthem in front of a packed house of more than 43,000 people at Citizens Bank Park before the start of a playoff game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the St. Louis Cardinals.
