Families Enjoy Fairy Tale in Greis Park [Photos]

Lynbrook troupe treats families to performance of Cinderella.

Decked out in attire fit for a ball, children of all ages joined together at the Recreation Center on Friday night. Families filled up six rows of the large all-purpose room, eager to watch Plaza Theatrical Productions’ performance of Cinderella.

Based out of Lynbrook, the traveling theater company has been producing community entertainment since 1983, according to their Web site

Friday night's fairy tale in the park, presented by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, featured music, dancing, comedy, and even a little audience participation.

Lynbrook girls seated in the front row were asked to try on the mysterious glass slipper found by the prince. But, as the local princesses soon found out, the piece of magical footwear had only one true owner - Cinderella.
