Many people whiz down Eagle Avenue to take the shortcut through Hempstead Lake State Park in West Hempstead, unaware of the natural beauty hidden behind the trees and metal fence that run along the road.
Patch recently put on our hiking boots and traveled down the dirt path to the shores of the lake to capture the picturesque views using the very cool Hipstamatic photo app.
Hipstamatic, similar to Instagram (both exclusive to iPhones) and Retroid for Android phones, uses different lenses to make the photos we take today look like they are from decades ago. It's very retro.
