Police: Malverne Woman Punched Cop in the Face During Intoxication Arrest

The woman faces several charges in the incident, including second degree assault.

A Malverne woman was arrested and charged with assault Monday for punching a police officer in the face during an arrest, Nassau County Police said. 

Police said that a female Fourth Precinct officer responded to the Malverne Police Department to assist and search Elissa L. Stallkamp, 36, who was arrested for being intoxicated which violated a Family Court Order, according to police. 

During the search, Stallkamp allegedly punched the officer numerous times in the face causing facial injuries. The officer was transported by a Nassau County Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and released, according to police. 

Stallkamp is being charged with second degree assault, second degree obstructing governmental administration and second degree criminal contempt.  She will be arraigned on Tuesday, Jan. 07 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
