Chamber of Commerce Honors Small Business Persons of the Year

The event was held on Oct. 7 in Woodbury.

Members from both the Lynbrook and East Rockaway Chamber of Commerce were honored at the Nassau Council of Chambers 27th Annual Small Businessperson of the Year Legislative Breakfast, held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on Oct. 7.

Honored from Lynbrook was Denise Rogers, Branch Manager at in Lynbrook and Vice President of Membership for the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce. Rogers regularly donates her time and money to local organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.

Also in attendance were Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce President Bill Gaylor (third from left in photo) and members Thomas Rogers, Bill Albergo, Stephen Wangel, George Laughney, Joseph Arevalo and Susan Ring.

Honored from East Rockaway was Jeanie Annecco. Annecco owns Jeanie’s Bakery in East Rockaway, which in 2009 was named The East Rockaway Business of the Year. She serves on the Board of Directors of the East Rockaway Chamber of Commerce and is a regular contributor to fundraising events in her community.
