Go Inside the Courtesy Hotel

Snapshots of the interior of West Hempstead's infamous hotel.

While the in West Hempsteadto the public on Wednesday - possibly for good - you can still take a "virtual tour" inside the building that's been at the center of the.

Photographer Andrew Vardakis went inside the notorious hotel while it was still open for business and captured some of the sights that guests would have seen.

Looks like a seedy place. Glad to hear it's been closed to the public. Hopefully a wrecking ball will soon seal its fate.

Carisa, i've been waiting now 3 years to get a shot of the wrecking ball hitting that place, can't believe it may finally happen. And to add to your comment about the seedy look of the place, i felt like i had to take a shower as soon as I got home just from walking around in the room.

Andrew, especially liked those finger prints on the mirror.......nice touch! Trust me, we have been waiting for that wrecking ball for so many years, and until it finally hits, we all have doubt.
