MAB Fine Wines & Spirits Reopens Under New Ownership

The first step is re-stocking the shelves in the store.

Many locals were upset when closed its doors , but the business that had occupied its spot for more than 55 years has reopened it's doors under new management.

"We're happy to be back," Jay, the new manager, said. "We're looking forward to continuing MAB's history of great service."

Despite the fact that MAB opened under new ownership, many of the old employees were retained. Jay told Patch that this was a location that was appealing for a number of reasons.

"There’s so many things that made this spot attractive to us," he said. "The name, the location and the history all played a factor."

The first course of action for MAB will be to re-stock the shelves with its variety of wines, liquors, cocktails and other options. The first big event will start on Friday night and run through Memorial Day weekend, as MAB will be hosting a marathon tasting, where people can try different items for free. There will be different things going on every hour.

"We’re probably going to have the largest variety in, and around, the neighborhood," Jay said. "I would say, in a five-mile radius, we’ll be the store with the biggest selection."

If only all of the we "We Buy Gold" stores had as nice a storefront. All of the other liquor stores look ghetto in comparison.
