So not only does the Mayor have to go out of town to get some kind of press for a business not in Glen Cove so does the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce. That's sad.

Does not the Town of Oyster Bay have a Chamber of Commerce? Does not the Town of Oyster Bay have its own designated politicians for ribbon cutting ceremonies? Could someone please explain what the relevance is to Glen Cove?

Businesses can belong to other towns Chamber of Commerce if they conduct business with in those towns. So for instance, a Real Estate office could be in Glen Head, but selling and bringing buyers to Glen Cove for residential or commerical. Most local towns which are so close and connected to each other do work together on many occasions. As far as I know there is not a "Town Of Oyster Bay" official that does a Ribbon cutting. Each individual town with in the Town of Oyster Bay does have either a business association or a Chamber of Commerce. Each organization does its own thing, and it may not always be a ribbon cutting like Glen Cove chamber does. I hope this helps ;)
