Shoppers Endure Sweltering Heat to Enjoy Lynbrook Street Fair [Photos]

Hot and humid weather didn't keep these locals away from the finds and festivities along Atlantic Avenue.

With the mercury rising above 90 degrees, shoppers flocked to Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook Sunday for the Chamber of Commerce's annual street fair. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., they browsed the interesting crafts, clothing, jewelry, food and other goodies for sale inside the various tents that lined Lynbrook's 'Main Street.' Kids also enjoyed visiting with the animals from Green Meadow's Farm and getting air-brushed tattoos, while the adults had the chance to mingle with local merchants, artisans and others who participated in the fair.
