Places to Take Dad on Father's Day
Show Dad you care with these fun activities and restaurants in your area.
Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and has been a celebrated day since the early twentieth century. The first Father’s Day was started in Fairmont, W. Va. on July 5, 1908.
It was organized by a woman named Grace Golden Clayton, who wanted to celebrate the lives of 210 fathers who had been lost in a mining disaster. Clayton chose the Sunday closest to the birthday of her deceased father.
Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in many countries.
