Readers’ Choice: Where to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Lynbrook

Go green and celebrate all things Irish this week. But where to toast the holiday?

It's time to get our Irish on, Lynbrook. St. Patrick’s Day is March 17 and we’re green with envy at all the ways to celebrate.

Time to weigh in. Lynbrook Patch is looking to unearth the best spot in town to celebrate Dublin-style. Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we’re asking you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.

Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s where to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.

Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate St. Paddy’s poll.

Friday we’ll announce a winner.

Our nominees:

There's also the newly renovated Mary MacNamara's at 44 Stauderman Ave. Try it!

There are only 2 places in Lynbrook that being 100% Irish and a resident of Lynbrook I would even consider frequenting on St. Patrick's Day. I'd recommend both Mary MacNamara's and Fibber McGees. The only authentic Irish establishments in Lynbrook.

Have to agree Mary MacNamara's and Fibber McGees would be the top choices! :)

The 2 logical choices are not even choice which I find outrageous. Mary MacNamaras and Fibber McGee's are the only choices!

Definitely have to agree Fibber McGee's and Mary MacNamaras only logical choices for an authentic Irish Paddy's Day experience!!!!

Mary MacNamara's and Fibber McGee's are grand spots to be not only on St. Patrick's Day but anytime you're looking for good beer & good friends! They should be added to your list of nominees.

Fibber McGees and Mary Macnamaras are great Irish places, the atmosphere is great in both. Mary Macs does a great Irish Dinner... Love their Fish and Chips! I would highly recommend visiting both Fibbers and Mary Macs for an authentic Irish experience!

Fibber McGees! Great location, amazing staff and you'll walk out having met many new friends. Highly recommend.

I have a feeling that the writer of this article is not from Lynbrook and just Googled "places in Lynbrook", haphazardly selected a few, threw them together and called it a poll. How is it possible that someone that knows Lynbrook puts together a St. Patricks Day poll and doesn't include the only two authentic Irish establishments in the community? Fibber McGees and Mary MacNamaras, both located in Lynbrook, are the only places to celebrate St. Patricks Day. Disappointing that they were both neglected and not included in this poll...

You'll find me at Mary Macs!!!!!

@KH: This is not the official poll. We are asking for suggestions. The poll will be posted on the site shortly: "Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s where to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments. Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate St. Paddy’s poll.
