Replacing Associated in Malverne

What should open up in this soon-to-be vacant supermarket?

Update: July 17, 2012 at 12:10 p.m. Associated supermarket will not be leaving Malverne afterall. Carlos Pichardo, one of the managers of the Hempstead Avenue store, notified Patch Tuesday afternoon that the management team met this morning and decided to reverse the decision to shut down the business. Click herefor the story.

Original Story:

Malverne will when closes down this week, perhaps as early as Wednesday.

The grocery store's depature will leave Malverne's small business district with a large void. For decades, this commercial space has served as a supermarket. (Many may recall that before it was Associated, C-Town was here.) Do you think another supermarket would fare better or does Malverne need a different type of business?

What do you think should fill this soon-to-be vacant space on Hempstead Avenue?
