Upcoming Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce Events

Despite its organizing and/or participating in , the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce is showing no signs of slowing down this summer.

The Chamber has a slew of events planned as the temperature heats up over the next couple of months.

On Thursday, June 23, from 5-7:30 p.m., the Chamber is hosting a Pre-Prom Party on Atlantic Avenue (between Stauderman Avenue and Merrick Road). Come and see the sharp tuxedos and beautiful dresses worn by Lynbrook's graduating seniors before they head off to prom.

There were rumors that Lynbrook's annual summer car shows might not be held this year, but the Chamber recently reached an agreement with the village to hold them in the parking field behind the Atlantic Avenue stores. The shows are always a big hit with the Lynbrook community. The first one kicks off on Thursday, June 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continues every Thursday through the end of August.

On July 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Chamber will host a Craft & Vendor Fair in the Astoria Federal parking lot (located on Merrick Road next to Lynbrook Village Hall). All fully paid members of the Chamber are entitled to a complimentary booth. If you interested in getting a booth, contact the Chamber at (516) 599-3436.

On August 9, the Chamber will be sponsoring the Theatre at Greis Park. Residents, namely children, are invited to come watch — outdoors — the "Wizard of Oz." More details will be available at a later date.

Also in August, the Chamber is also planning a Sidewalk Sale. More details will be available at a later date.
