Great idea! How about a Trader Joe's AND a Starbuck's?

A Target, Kmart or better yet a Super Walmart, would service this community better financially. These stores' sell a wide selection of: food, housewares, clothing, hardware, seasonal items and more at a better cost. I think we would benefit with this type of store then any other because of the wide variety of merchandise they sell.

There should be an indoor go-cart racing center. Great for families and the community. It would produce jobs too...food concessions, etc. When I grew up Island Garden was here and drew people from all over...something to do on weekends.

Trader Joes and Starbucks are great suggestions and would enhance our property values. This spot is not a large enough location for the big box stores which will bring too much traffic to the area. We all have to remember that this location is within a community that's filled with kids, so whatever comes should be G rated. FYI, there's a Home Goods in Hempstead and Rockville Centre, so I doubt if they will put another one that close.

I called them wanting to see if they will let our Rotary Club run a charity store their until they rent it. I was told that it is rented. I thought a Trader Joe is coming there.

I actually emailed the renting agent and the lease to the old Stop & Shop along with old card shop is now in the hands of Western Beef who is supposed to renovate the store and move in there from their old location further down on Woodfield.
