Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D-Elmont) proudly announces the Nassau University Medical Center Mammography Van will be coming to Elmont Public Library (700 Hempstead Tpke., Elmont) on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 from 8:45 a.m. to 12 noon to provide breast cancer screenings for women over age 50.
The screening will include a breast examination by a nurse, a mammography and instructions for breast self-examination. Women with health insurance will be required to make a co-payment. The mammography is no out-of-pocket cost for uninsured women, based on eligibility guidelines.
