Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Apparently, even Mother Nature takes part in April Fool's Day pranks, as the Lynbrook area could see some light snow in the morning before turning into rain for the rest of the day. But the weather takes a turn for the better just in time for the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday expected to be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the low 50s.

2 — Visit Lynbrook Patch at 10 a.m. for the weekly village crime report, courtesy of the Lynbrook Police Department. See what incidents have taken place in Lynbrook over the past week.

3 — If you've lived in Lynbrook for a while, chances are you've eaten at on Lakeview Avenue. And while you may know the owners, the food, and the drink menu, chances are you don't know the history behind this popular Lynbrook restaurant. 4 — Every Friday from 7-9:30 p.m., in Lynbrook will hold Tween/Teen Skate for ages 10-14 only. Adults are only allowed into the building as chaperones. For more information, call (516) 593-1300.
