Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook:

1 — The Lynbrook area is due to receive sunshine and a temperature in the mid 50s on Friday. There is a chance of rain this weekend, but temperatures are expected to remain about the same.

2 — Stay tuned for the village police report, courtesy of the Lynbrook Police Department. See what incidents have recently taken place in the village.

3 — Lynbrook's baseball, softball and girls lacrosse teams play later this afternoon. The baseball team plays at Great Neck North High School at 4:45 p.m., the softball team hosts Valley Stream North at Atlantic Avenue Field at 4:30 p.m., and the girls lacrosse team will host Hewlett at Lynbrook North Middle School at 4:15 p.m.

4 — Every Friday from 7-9:30 p.m., Hot Skates in Lynbrook will hold a Tween/Teen Skate for ages 10-14 only. Adults are only allowed into the building as chaperones. For more information, call (516) 593-1300.
