April 6: A New Patch Mystery Photo, Will Merrick-Ocean Intersection Finally Get Done?

Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — It's Wednesday, and for many, that means the midweek blues. But at least the weather will be nice. The Lynbrook area should see mostly sunny skies and a high of 53 degrees.

2 — Yesterday's varsity baseball game versus Glen Cove was postponed due to rain. The Owls will take on Big Red today at 4:30 p.m. at Marion Street School.

3 — If you've lived in Lynbrook for a while, you've probably heard rumors that Nassau County was going to improve the intersection of Merrick Road and Ocean Avenue. According to village officials, those rumors may soon become a reality. Patch will have that story later today.
