Aug. 3: New Patch Blogs, Sons of Italy Reopens

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Wednesday, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. A comfortable evening of 69 degrees is expected.

4 — The Order Sons of Italy Per Sempre Lodge #2344 recently held a grand opening ceremony for its new building at 381 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook. Patch will have the story later today.

5 — The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce is organizing focus groups to brainstorm ideas on how to increase business for its members. Patch checked in with Chamber officials on the productivity of its first two meetings.
