Aug. 4: Open Houses, Car Show, Mystery Photo

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with a  high of 82 degrees. The evening hours will be a bit more cloudy, with a low temperature of 69 degrees.

2 — Every Thursday on Lynbrook Patch, we'll be posting a guide to upcoming open houses in and around the village. Details include asking price, type of home, and other information about the homes.

3 — Patch personality Adam Matos recently stopped by in Lynbrook to try his hand at cooking lessons. Later today, we'll have the video report on his experience.

5 — Don't forget — at 6:30 p.m., the Village of Lynbrook will hold its Thursday night car show in the parking lot between Atlantic Avenue and Forest Avenue. This event is free to the public.
