Aug 9: Fear Factor Games, Centennial Picnic Photos

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — The Lynbrook area will see sunny skies at a high of 82 degrees around noon until about 3:00 p.m. when thunderstorms are expected to start.

3 — From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. tonight, the Lynbrook Public Library staff will be hosting “Fear Factor Games” in the Children’s Story Hour Room for young adults (sixth-grade and up). Kids can taste “gross” foods and compete in challenging events. Registration for this event is required.

4 — Be sure to check out the photos from Sunday’s Centennial Picnic at , which will be posted later this afternoon. This event capped a year-long celebration of Lynbrook village's 100th anniversary. 

5 — The Lynbrook Board of Education will hold their monthly board meeting in the High School Auditorium instead of the Atlantic Board Room Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. Here’s a copy of the agenda.
