Crime Report: Four DWI Arrests in One Week

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

• On July 27 at 2:10 a.m., Richard Gogarty, 33, of East Rockaway, N.Y., was arrested on Rocklyn Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated DWI.
• On July 31 at 11:05 p.m., Zandro Galolo, 41, of Valley Stream, N.Y., was arrested on Merrick Road in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated DWI.
• On Aug. 2 at 7:20 a.m., Kevin Hoffman, 41, of Franklin Square, N.Y., was arrested on Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated DWI.
• On Aug. 2 at 10:07 p.m., Peter Fazio, 23, of Lynbrook, N.Y., was arrested on Merrick Road in Lynbrook and charged with Assault and Criminal Mischief.
• On Aug. 3 at 10:08 p.m., Oscar Estrada, 35, of Hempstead, N.Y. was arrested on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook on an open Nassau County arrest warrant for Driving While Ability Impaired.
• On Aug. 5 at 9 a.m., Tara Driscoll, 33, of Bayshore, N.Y., was arrested and charged with Rape, which police say occurred at the Capri Motel on Freer Street in Lynbrook.
• On Aug. 7 at 10:45 p.m., Kevin Vesolowki, 49, of West Babylon, N.Y., was arrested on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook and charged with DWI.

Case Reports

• Between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, valued at $4,000, was reported stolen from Vincent Avenue in Lynbrook.
• Between the hours of 6 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 9:45 a.m. on Aug. 3, a business on Merrick Road in Lynbrook had $2,400 in damage done to the front windows of the establishment.
• Between the hours of 5 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 3, $1,400 in scrap metal and air conditioning condenser coils were reported stolen from a business on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
• Between the hours of 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 7 a.m. on Aug. 5, a watch — valued at $1,500 — and a GPS unit — valued at $140 — were reported stolen from a 2004 Kia parked on Calvin Street in Lynbrook.
• Between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Aug. 4, $400 in damage was done to the tires of 2009 Toyota parked on Forest Avenue in Lynbrook.
• Between the hours of 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 5, a GPS unit — valued at $200 — was reported stolen from a 2009 Nissan parked on Calvin Street in Lynbrook.
