Feb. 15: High School Hosts Operation Medicine Cabinet; District Releases Study on Turf Field

Five things you need to know in your community on Tuesday.

Here are five things you need to know in Lynbrook and/or on Lynbrook Patch today:

4 — You've probably heard some Lynbrook Board of Education members express interest in the district building a turf field at one of its schools. At last week's board meeting, officials released a study on what it would take to install such a field, including how much it would cost. Check out the story on Lynbrook Patch later today.

5 — Do you have expired or unwanted medications sitting in your home's medicine cabinet? Don't risk them getting into the hands of children — instead, bring them to Lynbrook High School during tonight's , a safe and anonymous drug-disposal event at Lynbrook High School. This event, held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., is being sponsored by the school's Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and the Lynbrook Police Department.
