Feb. 16: Budget Workshop Session, Whiz Kids and Another Patch Mystery Photo

Here are five things you need to know in Lynbrook and/or on Lynbrook Patch today:

1 — Budget season is here. The Lynbrook Board of Education will hold the first of three budget workshop sessions tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Lynbrook High School. District officials will discuss the administrative portion of the budget, which includes salaries and benefits.

2 — On a less serious note, Lynbrook Patch will be posting its latest "Whiz Kids" article, a weekly feature highlighting village youngsters and their accomplishments in school, on the ball field, or elsewhere in their community.

3 — Don't miss "Mom's Talk," a weekly discussion among Lynbrook moms on a different topic each week. While our Patch Moms Council will lead the discussion, all residents are invited to take part. Look out for the article at around 5:30 p.m. today.

4 — Keep an eye out for the latest mystery photo on Lynbrook Patch. Be the first to correctly identify it and you could win a prize!

5 — In case you missed the article yesterday, read up on the Lynbrook School District's . The Board of Education may include the field in next year's budget or choose to hold a bond vote sometime in the near future. No formal proposal has been made.
