Feb. 17: Warmer Weather, Character Counts Committee to Hold Workshop for Girls

Five things you need to know in Lynbrook on Thursday.

Here are five things you need to know in Lynbrook and/or on Lynbrook Patch today:

1 — Prepare for warmer weather in the Lynbrook area today. The temperature is expected to reach 49 degrees.

2 — The Character Counts Committee of Lynbrook is holding ","an interactive workshop for young girls and their parents led by Rachel Simmons, author of Odd Girl Out and The Curse of the Good Girl. The event will be held at the Lynbrook Public Library from 7-9 p.m. Girls are asked to bring their cell phones. No registration is required.

3 — With the weekend just two days away, Lynbrook Patch will be posting its weekly "Get Out" article, a compilation of events from in and around Lynbrook that are taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
