Feb. 3: Patch Weekend Guide, Village Homes for Sale

Five things of interest in Lynbrook on Thursday.

Here are five things of interest in the village and/or on Lynbrook Patch for Thursday:

1 — If you're not a big fan of the winter weather, today will be a nice break from the snow and slush the Lynbrook area has seen this season. A high of 28 degrees is expected. Enjoy the precipitation-free day, though, because snow is in the forecast for late Friday and Saturday.

2 — The Lynbrook Public Library will hold "Pre-School Story Time" for children ages three and a half to five years from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Registration is required for this event, which will be held in the Children's Story Hour Room.

3 — Have some free time this weekend? The new Patch weekend guide will be posted later today, giving residents specific details on what's happening this Saturday and Sunday. Let us know what you think of the new feature and tell us if there's something we can add to it.

4 — Looking to buy a new home? Check out the Patch "House Hunt" at noon today. We'll highlight several area homes for sale, with details on upcoming open houses.

5 — Lynbrook is a beautiful village by day, but what about at night? Patch photographer Andrew Vardakis took his camera out on a recent night to snap some pictures, which will be posted on the site this afternoon.
